Global Goals Australia CEO Caterina Sullivan presented last weekend during a forum hosted by international student organisation AIESEC.
The YouthSpeak Forum was held at the University of Sydney, engaging and inspiring young people to take action for the future.
Ms Sullivan spoke about her career in sustainability including her time working in New York and London, the establishment of the Global Goals Australia Campaign and the launch of Strategic Sustainability Consultants.
“In order for young people to make an impact and put themselves in front of the right organisations, they need to present themselves as a solution for an organisation. There are a number of issues when it comes to economic, social and environmental sustainability in today’s society; however, people don’t want to hear about the issues anymore. They want to hear about the solutions,” Ms Sullivan explained.
The YouthSpeak Forum is a platform for cross-sector and inter-generational discussion on taking action and implementing the United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development, connecting young people and leaders across society to create collaborative action. The forum aims to create an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can cross-pollinate ideas, share insights and gain new perspectives to create actionable outcomes to push the world forward.
