Global Goals Awards 2016

Updated: Nov 4, 2018

On Tuesday night, after the fun and frivolity of the #WhatIReallyReallyWant bus tour, I was honoured to attend the annual Global Goals Awards Ceremony.

Celebrities, heads of state and changemakers all gathered to celebrate those who have made a remarkable contribution towards the goals.

I was able to catch up with some of my contacts and connect with new fellow Global Goals supporters.

It was also fantastic to meet each of the three award winners, Yusra Mardini from Syria (The Girl Award), Rebeca Gyumi from Tanzania (The Social Change Award) and Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram from Pakistan (The Campaigner Award). On behalf of Global Goals Australia, I would like to again congratulate them on their inspiring commitment to the goals. We look forward to working with each of them to make sustainable systemic change in order to achieve the goals!
