How Can Your Business Achieve Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being?
Updated: Nov 4, 2018

Over the coming weeks, we are celebrating the benefits of the Global Goals in understanding how your business can commit to sustainability. Today, we look at Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being aims to ensure the entire global population is living in good physical and mental health with access to necessary and relevant resources and services.
On Monday, we looked at creating a healthy eating policy as the first step to achieving Goal 2: Zero Hunger. Similarly, one of the first steps to achieving Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being is to develop a workplace health program. To develop your own workplace health program, contact the team at Strategic Sustainability Consultants today!
Here are a few other ideas to get you started on your way to achieving Goal 3 of the Global Goals:
ensure your workplace is adhering to workplace health and safety practices
provide facilities for staff cycling to work
encourage staff to cycle or walk to work
establish a lunchtime exercise group
create an alcohol- and drug-free workplace
create a smoke-free workplace
do not use hazardous cleaning chemicals in the office
Healthier staff will have more energy, work at a higher rate of prouctivity, experience an elevated mood and be able to think more clearly and, therefore, will be able to contribute more in the workplace.
The final way of committing to the achievement of Goal 3 is through donating company profits to charities working on implementing sustainable methods to improve the physical and mental health and well-being of people around the world.
