On Monday, I had the privilege to deliver the keynote address at iProperty Group's iCities Conference. The iCities Conference focuses on sustainable urban planning and development.
While I spoke about the clear importance of Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, my key message centred around the importance of Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
This was a key theme evident throughout the entire conference - the need for government to engaged with private sector and NGOs. There was also an expressed concern for the lack of cooperation between federal, state and local government on important development projects.
