Who are the Top 100 Corporate Citizens?

Each year, Corporate Responsibility Magazine lists the 100 Best Corporate Citizens, ranking the world's leading companies by their contribution towards the environment, climate change, human rights, employee relations, corporate governance and philanthropy as well as taking their financial success into account.
This year's top ten corporate citizens were as follows:
10. Ecolab, Inc.
While Ecolab only ranked 350th financially, this global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services demonstrated outstanding progress on their social and environmental sustainability commitments. Globally, Ecolab ranked 2nd for climate change, 7th for philanthropy, 15th for environment, 21st for employee relations and 33rd for human rights.
This international technology-development company has earned its place among the top 10 due to their work across the board to achieve sustainability. Ranked 13th for their contribution towards the environment, 16th for human rights, 40th for climate change, 73rd for philanthropy and 81st for employee relations, Lockheed Martin shows that an across-the-board approach can be very beneficial through their financial ranking of 36th.
Hormel Foods supply people all over the world with a range of food products; however, their business just doesn't start and end there. Hormel Foods also make a great commitment towards sustainability, ranked 6th for human rights, 8th for corporate governance, 25th for employee relations, 76th for climate change and 85th for environment. Globally, Hormel are listed as 22nd when it comes to their financial ranking.
Accenture, one of the world-leading corporate service providers, is another example of a company which works across the board to achieve sustainability. Accenture is ranked 17th for both climate change and philanthropy, 40th for environment, 46th for employee relations, 82nd for corporate governance and 83rd for human rights as well as being ranked 83rd financially.
While Cisco Systems only ranked 142nd financially, this multinational technology conglomerate demonstrated outstanding progress on their social and environmental sustainability commitments. Globally, Cisco ranked 7th for employee relations, 8th for the environment, 25th for human rights, 36th for climate change and 96th for philanthropy.
This international food company has earned its place among the top 10 due to their work across the board to achieve sustainability. Ranked 13th for their contribution towards corporate governance, 27th for philanthropy, 31st for employee relations, 33rd for climate change, 46th for the environment and 59th for human rights, Campbell Soup shows that an across-the-board approach can be very beneficial. They are ranked 121st financially.
Altria is an interesting addition to the list as it is one of the world's largest producers of tobacco, cigarettes and related products; however, Altria also makes a great commitment towards sustainability. They are ranked 10th for philanthropy, 13th for climate change and employee relations, 33rd for human rights and 74th for the environment. Globally, Altria is listed as 42nd when it comes to their financial ranking.
Microsoft, one of the world-leading software developers and providers, is another example of a company which works across the board to achieve sustainability. Microsoft is ranked 1st for their work towards the environment and human rights and for their philanthropic contributions. They are also ranked 14th for employee relations, 16th for corporate governance and 88th for climate change as well as being ranked 68th financially.
2. Intel Corp
While Intel only ranked 111th financially, this multinational technology company demonstrated outstanding progress on their social and environmental sustainability commitments. Globally, Intel ranked 6th for human rights and employee relations, 12th for the environment and philanthropy, 23rd for climate change and 45th for corporate governance.
1. Hasbro, Inc.
This international toy company has earned its place as to Best Corporate Citizen due to their work across the board to achieve sustainability. Not only does Hasbro bring joy to children and adults alike across the world, this company also demonstrates the importance of participating in the economy as a responsible corporate citizen. Ranked 1st for their contribution towards climate change mitigation, 3rd for philanthropy, 4th for human rights, 5th for the environment, 8th for employee relations and 81st for corporate governance, Hasbro shows that an across-the-board approach can be very beneficial through their financial ranking of 64th.
