Local Government Profile: City of Vincent
Updated: Nov 3, 2018

While it was Australia’s federal government who signed up to the Global Goals, it is not the sole responsibility of federal government to achieve the goals.
State and local government also have a critical role to play.
Out of 565 local councils around Australia, many, if not all, are working in some way, shape or form to achieve the goals.
One such local council is the City of Vincent in Perth’s inner northern suburbs.
Mayor John Carey and his councillors have plans and policies in place already working to achieve the goals.
